He made his literary debut in December 2004 with a piece titled 'Mountain Ghost Records' published in a horror magazine. Azumi has since continued writing while maintaining a career in other fields, pioneering the blend of mountain narratives with horror tales, known as mountain horror. He is also a skilled storyteller, actively working as a horror storyteller and commentator specialized in mountainous folklore.
