For over 35 years, she provided food, lodging, water, and showers to cyclists on the TransAmerica Trail. Her story gained fame during the inaugural Bikecentennial ride in 1976 when she began her generous acts, primarily sharing home-baked cookies with weary travelers. Her dedication led to the establishment of the June Curry Trail Angel Award by Adventure Cycling Association in 2003, recognizing her kindness and support for cyclists.
