Jūichi Saitō (February 11, 1914 - December 28, 2000) was an influential editor and publisher during the Showa era in Japan. Known for his charisma, he was referred to as both 'the Emperor' and 'the Monster' of Shinchosha Publishing, where he wielded significant power alongside chairman Ryoichi Sato. From 1960, he gained fame through his long-running column 'Tokyo Information' in Shukan Shincho, believed to be written under the pseudonym Jan Denman, which is speculated to be a pen name for Saitō himself.
