Judy Zelman was a Canadian paralympic athlete born on May 16, 1967, in Ottawa, Ontario. Competing primarily in category 1C events, she gained recognition at the 1984 Summer Paralympics where she won a silver medal in Women's Shot Put. Zelman also earned three bronze medals in her career and participated in the 1988 and 1992 Summer Paralympics. Unfortunately, she passed away on February 3, 2007, at the age of 39 after a short battle with breast cancer.
