Józef Kaliszan (1927 - February 23, 2007) was a Polish sculptor, painter, and set designer closely associated with Poznań, where he created and exhibited his works. After World War II, he helped reconstruct Poznań’s Old Town, including reliefs on buildings in the Old Market Square. In the 1950s, he was prominent in the socialist realism art movement and co-founded the Poznań Artistic Group R-55, which challenged socialist realism after 1956. Kaliszan's memorials include monuments honoring victims of labor camps and notable Polish figures.
