Josef Šťáva is a Czech and Swiss entrepreneur known for his role in a long-standing multi-billion arbitration case against the Czech Republic, which began in 1996. He was a significant international broker in plasma production and processing before founding Diag Human. He emigrated in 1968, moving to Switzerland, and later returned to negotiate business with Czechoslovakia. In 2008, he won a legal battle resulting in a $650 million ruling for his company. As of 2024, the arbitration is still ongoing with several court hearings taking place in London.
