Josef Kocourek (January 27, 1916 – August 1, 2004) was a renowned parliamentary stenographer recognized by the Guinness World Records in 1999 as the oldest and longest-serving parliamentary stenographer. In 2004, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Merit first class by President Václav Klaus for his contributions to the state in the area of security. Additionally, he received the Czechoslovak War Cross in 1946 for his service.
