Jørgen Thomsen (February 26, 1927 – May 15, 1995) was a Faroese sailor, mechanic, and politician. Trained as a mechanic, he worked as a sailor for several years before becoming a technical leader at Nordafar A/S in Greenland from 1959 to 1964. He served as a foreman at a shipyard in Skála from 1965 to 1979. Thomsen held positions as a municipal council member in Skála and was elected to the Lagtinget from Eysturoy, where he served from 1978 to 1994, including roles as deputy chairman of the Javnaðarflokkurin in the 1980s and Lagtingsformand from 1990 to 1991.
