Jorge Hipólito Meijide, commonly known as Meiji, is an Argentine pediatrician, cartoonist, and comic book writer born on October 1, 1947, in San Fernando. He is best known for his work in the comic strip 'La clínica del Doctor Cureta,' which was adapted into a film in 1987. Meijide published his first drawings in 1973 and has contributed to numerous magazines and newspapers, including Siete Días, El Gráfico, and La Nación. In 2005, he participated in the cultural program 'Argentina de Punta a Punta' to offer talks and workshops on graphic humor and comics.
