Jon Sverre Aasen, born on March 16, 1951, is a Norwegian politician from Vanylven representing the Labour Party. He served as the county mayor of Møre og Romsdal from 2003 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2019. Aasen was educated at the teacher training college in Volda and worked for twelve years as a teacher at Åheim school in his hometown. He was deputy mayor from 1983 to 1987, later becoming mayor for sixteen years from 1988 to 2003.
