John Wilson is a British politician born on November 28, 1956, in the United Kingdom. He was active in the Scottish National Party until September 2014, after which he joined the Scottish Greens. Wilson served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Central Scotland region in the fourth session from May 5, 2011, to March 24, 2016. During his parliamentary career, he represented the Scottish National Party initially before becoming an independent. Wilson was re-elected in the 2007 and 2011 Scottish parliamentary elections.
