He played on Odetta's album in 1967 and was a member of Spanky and Our Gang from 1967 to 1968. He replaced John Barbata in The Turtles from 1969 to 1970 and recorded one album with Rosebud in 1971. Seiter also played on Tom Waits' debut album, Closing Time, which was released in 1973. He has a younger brother named Jimmi Seiter.
