John Oslawski was an American jazz musician known for his skills on the alto and baritone saxophone, flute, and bass clarinet. Initially performing under the name John Laws, he gained prominence as a baritone saxophonist in Buddy Rich's big band from 1968 to the mid-1970s, later playing with Woody Herman. In 1977, he moved to Germany and joined the Hessischer Rundfunk's dance and entertainment orchestra, which later became the hr-Bigband. He also performed in the Frankfurt jazz scene with his own group. Oslawski passed away while on holiday in Spain.
