Charles John Halswell Kemeys-Tynte, 9th Baron Wharton, born on 12 January 1908, was a British aristocrat and son of the 8th Baron Wharton. Educated at Christ Church, Oxford, he served as a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during World War II. He married Joanna, née Law-Smith, a widow of a previous baron. After his passing on 22 July 1969, the barony transferred to his sister, Elisabeth Vintcent, the 10th Baroness Wharton.
