John Stanley Hawkins was an Anglican priest and served as the Archdeacon of Totnes from 1962 until his death in 1965. Educated at St Chad's College and ordained in 1933, he began as a Curate in Liverpool, then became a Rector in Australia. During World War II, he served as a chaplain in the RAAF. After the war, he returned to England, holding positions as a Curate and Vicar. His legacy includes his son Richard, who became the Bishop of Crediton.
