John G. Fleagle is an American anatomist and paleontologist, born on April 30, 1948, in Burlington, North Carolina. He is known for his research on the evolutionary history of primates and the effects of environmental factors on primate behavior and morphology over the past 50 million years. Currently, he holds a professorship in the Department of Anatomy at the School of Medicine, Stony Brook University, in Stony Brook, New York.
