John Frederick Perkins (1910-1983) was an English entomologist known for his specialization in Hymenoptera. Born in Paignton, Devon, he was educated at Newton College and graduated with First class Honours from Imperial College in 1932. In 1933, he joined the British Museum as an Assistant Keeper in the Department of Entomology. Perkins contributed significantly to the field and was recognized as a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society.
