John Lewis Emery (3 October 1915 – 1 May 2000) was a British paediatric pathologist and emeritus professor at the University of Sheffield. He was a founding father of paediatric pathology in the UK, conducting significant research in haematology, developmental anatomy, and congenital deformities, particularly hydrocephalus. Emery was recognized as one of Britain's leading scientists in unexplained infant deaths, commonly known as cot death. His work has had a lasting impact on the field of paediatric medicine and the understanding of infant health.
