John-David Mercer Schofield (1938–2013) was a prominent bishop in the Anglican Church in North America. He served as the rector of St. Columba's in the Episcopal Diocese of California and was the fourth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin from 1988 to 2011. Due to theological disputes, he led the diocese to join the Anglican Church of the Southern Cone in 2007 and later became a founding member of the Anglican Church in North America. Schofield served as the first bishop of the new diocese until retirement and passed away in Fresno.
