Sir John Shakespeare Allison is a retired British Royal Air Force officer who served as Air Chief Marshal from 1996 to 1997. During this time, he held the position of Air Member for Logistics and was the Commander of the RAF Logistics Command. He later served as the Commander of the RAF Strike Command from 1997 to 1999. Since 2005, Allison has been the Gentleman Usher to the Sword of State.
