John Peter Alevizos (December 11, 1919 – August 1, 2005) was an influential American businessman and baseball executive. A native of Boston, he had a successful career in real estate and served as an educator at Boston University. Alevizos, a World War II veteran, contributed significantly to professional baseball as the owner of the Binghamton Triplets and later as vice president of administration for the Boston Red Sox. He briefly managed the Atlanta Braves and attempted to buy the Montreal Expos before his passing at age 85.
