Joachim Fritzen (April 15, 1909 – February 29, 1996) was a German Sinologist and musicologist. He worked as a teacher in Lower Saxony and served as a lecturer at Fu-Jen University in Taiwan for several semesters. Fritzen published various writings and compositions and is recognized for his pioneering work in Taoist liturgy with his invocation of the Big Dipper in 'Djüehsiugung zu Taibej.' He married Marianne Fritzen in 1952 in Berlin and had three children.
