Jiu Dan, born Zhu Ziping on February 8, 1968, in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, is a Chinese writer and journalist. She graduated from China Journalism College in 1990 and worked as a reporter in Guangxi before moving to Beijing to establish a company that contracted with the Beijing Film Academy's television department. After studying in Singapore in 1995, she returned to China in 2000 to work as a journalist at a weekly magazine, while also pursuing her writing career. Her notable work includes 'Crow'.
