Jirō Ikushima (January 25, 1933 - March 2, 2003) was a Japanese novelist known for his contributions to the hard-boiled genre in Japan. Born Taro Koizumi, he transitioned from being an editor at Hayakawa Publishing to becoming a successful author. He won the prestigious Naoki Prize for his work 'Oitsumeru.' Ikushima is recognized as one of the key figures who introduced genuine hard-boiled fiction to Japanese literature.
