Jiří Švec was a Czechoslovak wrestler born on November 20, 1935, in Netolice, Czechoslovakia. He competed in Greco-Roman wrestling and represented his country in the Olympics three times. His best performance was at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, where he finished fourth in the 57 kg category. He secured a second-place finish at the World Championships in 1963 and a third place in 1961. Additionally, he achieved a second-place finish at the European Championships in 1968 and a third in 1967. Švec was also a four-time Czechoslovak champion.
