Jiří Pavlík was a Czech academic painter, illustrator, and graphics artist, born on March 1, 1939, in Prague. He studied at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague from 1957 to 1963 under the guidance of Professor Adolf Hoffmeister. Pavlík is known for his large-scale stone painting for the residential complex of buildings Moskevská II designed by architect František Novotný, completed in 1990. He passed away on May 3, 1993, in his birthplace of Prague.
