James Albert Missouri was an American baseball pitcher who played in the Negro leagues from 1937 to 1940. Born on May 29, 1917, in Bishopville, South Carolina, he began his professional career with the Philadelphia Stars, where he made his debut in 1937. Missouri played for the Stars for four seasons before concluding his playing career in 1940. He passed away on July 4, 1989, at the age of 72.
