Tsheten Shabdrung Jigme Rigpei Lodro was a Tibetan spiritual leader of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism and a prominent Tibetologist. Born on April 22, 1910, in Xunhua, he is often referred to simply as Tsheten Shabdrung. His contributions to Tibetan Buddhism and scholarship have been recognized and continue to influence the field. He passed away in 1985. His work primarily focused on the teachings and traditions within the Gelug school.
