Jesús Selgas Cepero is a Cuban artist known for his contributions to painting, tapestry, and installations. Born on December 24, 1951, in Cienfuegos, Cuba, he studied at the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana from 1968 to 1970 and graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Diseño in 1980. Shortly after graduation, he relocated to New York and expanded his skill set with a course in photography at the Fashion Institute of Design in 1988.
