Jelles Bode was a Dutch police officer and traffic information reader born in Utrecht on September 9, 1942. He joined the Rijkspolitie in 1968 and worked in various roles, gaining extensive knowledge of traffic on Dutch highways. From 1980 to 1998, he was part of the traffic information team. After the closure of the Politieverkeerscentrale in 1998, he helped establish the VerkeersInformatieDienst. He retired in 2003 and was a familiar voice on Dutch radio until his passing from a brain tumor on February 26, 2012.
