Jean-Yves Parpette is a French water skier born on January 8, 1947. He competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, finishing twelfth in figures and eighth in jumping; however, water skiing was a demonstration sport at the time, so the results were not officially recorded. He was the world vice-champion in all events in 1969 and secured third place in slalom in both 1969 and 1973.
