He made a significant impact with his first book, 'La Liberté des feuilles,' which earned him prestigious awards, including those named after Félix Fénéon and Max Jacob. Salabreuil was known for his unique style of prose poetry. Tragically, he passed away at the young age of 29 on 27 February 1970 in Paris, and his death is suspected to be a suicide.
