Jean-Paul Desroches, born on February 9, 1945, is a French researcher, archaeologist, Mongolist, and Sinologist. He serves as the General Curator of Heritage at the Guimet Museum and was a professor at the Louvre School. Desroches leads the French archaeological mission in Mongolia and has organized major exhibitions about China in France and East Asia. He has notably researched the Gol Mod necropolis site in Mongolia, publishing articles on it in 2002 and 2003.
