Jean Parthenay was a French designer born on December 8, 1919, in Le Raincy. He co-founded the design office Technès in 1949 with Jacques Viénot, which later became directed by Roger Tallon. Parthenay was known for his work with various industrial clients, notably designing the well-known Poclain 90B excavator. He also contributed to the field of design education by teaching at ENSAAMA in Paris, influencing future generations of designers before his death on December 26, 1997, in Égliseneuve-près-Billom.
