He gained recognition for officiating significant matches, including the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and the 1990 Africa Cup of Nations Final between Algeria and Nigeria. Diramba also refereed a controversial World Cup qualifying match in 1994 between Morocco and Zambia, which led to protests from the Zambian side. Additionally, he was an amateur golfer and participated in the 2008 Eisenhower Trophy.
