Jean Clam (born 1958) is a French philosopher, sociologist, and psychologist, currently a researcher at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in Paris. He teaches at EHESS-CADIS and his research focuses on the sociology and psychology of intimacy, legal theory, particularly regarding Niklas Luhmann, and a general theory of social and human sciences. Clam publishes and teaches in both French and German, and has lectured on topics such as 'Libertinism in the 18th century' and 'Perception and Imagination in Sartre and Merleau-Ponty'.
