Jean-Baptiste Heitarauri Céran-Jérusalémy (1921-2014) was a prominent French Polynesian politician known for his leadership in the Democratic Rally of the Tahitian People. He served as president of the Assembly of French Polynesia twice and was an advocate for the region's departmentalization with France. Despite challenges, including his expulsion from his party and advocacy for Chinese-Tahitians' citizenship, he played a key role in politics through the 1960s until he lost his seat in the Assembly in 1967.
