Jaywant Dalvi (August 14, 1925 - September 16, 1994) was a prominent Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India. He worked as an associate editor for the Marathi newspapers Prabhat and Lokamanya and later collaborated with the USIS agency. Dalvi was known for his significant contribution to drama, story, and novel writing. Under the pseudonym Thanthanpal, he wrote a popular humorous column about Marathi literary figures. He maintained a close friendship with renowned Marathi literary couple Pu La Deshpande and Sunita Deshpande.
