Jayantha Weerasinghe is a Sri Lankan lawyer and politician, born on 13 September 1950. He has an LLB degree from the University of Colombo and was educated at Royal College, Colombo. Weerasinghe serves as a legal advisor to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. After the 2020 parliamentary election, he was appointed as a Member of Parliament representing the Sri Lanka People's Freedom Alliance. He was designated as President's Counsel in 2010.
