Javier Rosado Calvo, known as the mastermind behind the "role-playing crime," was born on December 9, 1973, in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid. In April 1994, he and his friend Felix Martínez Reséndiz murdered Carlos Moreno as part of a disturbing plan involving a self-invented role-playing game. They were arrested months later, resulting in significant media coverage. A chemistry student, he attempted to evade responsibility by feigning multiple personality disorder. In 1997, he was sentenced to 42 years for murder and conspiracy, later earning degrees while incarcerated before achieving full freedom in 2010.
