José Javier Olivares Conde, known as Javier Olivares, is a Spanish illustrator and comic author born in Madrid in 1964. He began publishing in the Madrid magazine Madriz in the 1980s and has since collaborated with various magazines such as Rolling Stone and El Mundo. He illustrated numerous textbooks and novels. In 2014, he partnered with writer Santiago García to create the critically acclaimed graphic novel 'Las meninas,' which received several nominations and awards, including the National Comic Award and the best work at the 33rd International Comic Salon of Barcelona.
