Jasiel F. Correia II, born on December 11, 1991, is a former American politician who served as the mayor of Fall River, Massachusetts from 2016 to 2020. During his tenure, he faced serious legal challenges, being arrested twice on charges of fraud and extortion. Correia lost the mayoral election in November 2019, concluding his term on January 6, 2020. Following a federal trial in May 2021, he was convicted of multiple charges and was sentenced to six years in federal prison, starting his sentence in April 2022.
