Jaroslava Míčová was a Czech Esperantist born in Prague who dedicated her life to the Esperanto movement. A lifelong member and delegate of UEA, she played a crucial role in promoting UEA's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize and was among the most active collectors of signatures for a UN proposal in 1965-1966. She initiated the translation of poems by Czech poet Otakar Březina to honor his centenary in 1968. Despite an unsuccessful publication, her efforts remain notable in the literary community.
