He taught Czech and world literature at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Catholic Theology. Med focused mainly on Czech Catholic-oriented literature, particularly poetry. He authored six publications and is notable for his anthologies of poems by significant Czech poets such as Bohuslav Reynek, Jan Zahradníček, and Jiří Karasek ze Lvovic. He passed away on February 14, 2018, in his birthplace.
