János Molnár was a Hungarian Army colonel, born on March 11, 1925, in Budapest and died on June 22, 1984. He served as the chief of communications for the Hungarian People's Army. After completing military training in 1949 and being promoted to captain, he played a significant role in developing communication training and modernizing aerial defense communications. He became the chief of communication in the general staff in 1971, promoting domestic manufacturing and export of advanced communication equipment. Following health issues, he led the military division at the Ministry of Transport and Postal Services until his retirement in 1981.
