He served as the mayor of Barót and was the president of the Covasna County Council from 2000 to 2008, also acting as vice president until 2012. Educated at Cluj-Napoca Agricultural University, he began his political career in 1990. He has contributed to various cultural associations and initiated the World Meeting of Háromszéki Hungarians in 2007. He has held significant positions in European political bodies and is known for his community engagement efforts.
