Janet Elizabeth Aalfs is an American poet and martial artist, born on August 14, 1956. She is a founding member of the Valley Women's Martial Arts and the National Women's Martial Arts Federation. Additionally, she is the founder and director of the Lotus Peace Arts. Her contributions to the arts and community have been recognized, and she served as the poet laureate for Northampton, Massachusetts, from 2003 to 2005.
