Jan Eryk Richert was a Polish footballer born on 19 August 1922, known for playing as a defender. He had a notable career with Gedania Danzig before World War II and later with its successor, Gedania Gdańsk, after the war. Richert also played for Lechia Gdańsk, where he made an impression by participating in the inaugural season of Poland's top football division. He survived the war, a time of great adversity for his original club, and eventually moved to Germany in 1972, where he lived until his death on 9 August 1992.
