Ján Pástor was a Slovak archaeologist born on December 16, 1909, in Ungvár. He is known for founding the East Slovak Museum and served as the external head of the Kosice branch of the Slovak Archaeological Institute from 1953 to 1956. His contributions to archaeology helped in the preservation and study of cultural heritage in Slovakia.
