Jan Manschot was a significant figure in the history of the Dutch pop group Normaal. He was born on September 21, 1947, in Lechtenvoorde and co-founded the group in 1975 with Bennie Jolink, taking on the role of drummer despite limited experience. Normaal achieved fame with their first record 'Oerend Hard'. Manschot left the group in the mid-1980s and later formed the music group Boh Foi Toch in 1989, as well as performing with Bakkerij Manschot. He passed away on January 20, 2014, after being diagnosed with tumors in early 2013.
